Liminal space. It's part of the healing process, it's the darkest point before the dawn. The light is just there, on the other end of this corridor of self care and work.
I don’t regret having a panic attack, at all. It was a beautiful lesson for me, first of all, to have way more empathy towards others (my patients, friends and strangers) when they are going through a similar experience. Secondly, I am GRATEFUL, that this experience re-affirmed an unwavering commitment that I give myself to RADICAL SELF LOVE, and care.
How do we start the process of being in more light? We are mosaics… each of us experiences, integrates, expresses and heals differently and there is no one right path. I am a Doctor of Chiropractic or Chiropractor and have chosen to share this healing art with the masses. We are a separate and distinct profession that allows the body a second chance at integration, using different techniques to find the areas calling for attention within the spine, addressing those areas with hands or tools and allowing the body to use that potential energy in a new way… increasing the body’s ability to adapt and heal. Why is this important? When we are better able to adapt to our environment we are a better human being; physically, intellectually, emotionally and spiritually. We are clear.
I've always been a women gatherer. I think it's because I'm an only child and with no siblings, I've always felt I needed to fill that void. As I've gotten older and built this business I find that the women with whom I surround myself model courage. They're inspiring and vulnerable and thoughtful. They want to leave things better than they found it. And, they do their best to magnify other women, too. That's my heart's desire--magnify and multiply our deeds. It's not about our badass products. It's about Better Woman + Better Earth.
Harvard researchers found that a daily piece of chocolate lowers the risk of heart disease by as much as 57% (which means it’s better to eat it daily than not!), while dozens of other studies returned favorable results for everything from brain function to smooth, soft skin to pregnancy complications.
The magic that Nova created, that I have the privilege of helping carry out, is a reminder that love is a continuous flow within us and throughout us as a village. With love of self comes the ease to love others, to be loved, and to thrive in the higher vibration of our space. Better woman, better earth. Amen.
She gave me insight and comfort in my own body, a wealth of tailored-to-me womb wisdom I didn't even know I was lacking, or seeking. Feeling these warm, steady, love-filled hands on my abdomen, speaking truths about my experience... I didn't expect to be moved. I didn't expect to feel soothed and nurtured, like a normal massage but with more intention, more personal.
Long ago, in a borough far far away, a girl who should have been born in the decade of peace and love found herself in uncomfortable circumstances. As someone who has always sought out the alternative, the spiritual, the unusual, growing up in Queens, NY in most ways was anything but. The concrete jungle, a place of noisy buses and trains, graffiti concrete borders, and constant movement, can be very draining on the soul of an empath, on a girl who felt anything and everything around her, and yet had a hard time finding connection.
